Card floreale con i Distress Oxide Inks / Floral card with Distress Oxide Inks

Ho voluto giocare con i Distress Oxide Inks: dopo aver embossato il timbro di Altenew, ho colorato tutto lo sfondo con i Distress Oxide Inks e il blending tool, poi ho acquarellato i fiori. Alla fine ho aggiunto il messaggio fustellato dalla gomma crepla e ho decorato con delle gocce di Glossy Accents.

I wanted to play with Distress Oxide Inks and their properties: after having heat-embossed the Altenew floral stamp, i colored the whole background with Distress Oxide inks and a blending tool. Then I watercolored on the top of it with the same inks, added the craft foam sentiment and some droplets of Glossy Accents.

This other card belongs to my series “Two for one”, because my passion for music inspired my passion for card making: a verse from the Michael Patrick Song “Diamonds & Metals” is a great match for a pacifist card like this one.

Ho un’amica che è una fan di Michael Patrick Kelly proprio come me. Dato che adoriamo il concerto che ha dato per il lockdown nel Duomo die Colonia, reso disponibile gratuitamente su YouTube, e la sua canzone preferita è “Higher Love“, guardando il video ho fatto un printscreen mentre cantava quella canzone dal quale ho realizzato una silhouette. Questa è stata il punto di partenza per entrambe le mie creazioni: la sua silhouette riempita con il testo di “Higher Love” e la card di compleanno realizzata con la Silhouette Cameo. Per quest’ultima ho ricordato ciò che mi ha insegnato Tommaso Bottalico in un corso online su questo plotter da taglio elettronico.

A friend of mine is a fan of Michael Patrick Kelly just like me. Since we both love his lockdown concert held in Cathedral of Cologne, freely accessible on Youtube, and her favorite song is “Higher Love“, I made a print-screen of him during the concert while he was singing that song. From that image I made a black silhouette of his profile. This was my starting point for my two creations: his black silhouette filled with the song’s lyrics and a Michael Patrick Kelly-shaped birthday card diecut with the Silhouette Cameo. For the last one I remembered what I was taught during a course on that electronic die cutting machine by Tommaso Bottalico.
